New Line Cinema

Mike Myers will be going the Austin Powers route again and playing various character in one project, albeit this time on the small screen.

Myers has signed up to star in and executive producer a half-hour series set up at streaming giant Netflix, which has given the project a six-episode order. Variety broke the news, reporting that the series will find Myers taking on a number of roles.

“I love creating characters, and Netflix has given me a fantastic playground to play in,” Myers said in a statement.

Plot details are being kept under wraps for the series, which will also be executive produced by Austin Powers EP John Lyons and Jason Weinberg, with Mackenzie Cyr and Justin Capraro-Gentuso aboard as associate producers.

Saturday Night Live alum Myers, known for Wayne’s World, Austin Powers and Shrek movies, was recently seen in Bohemian Rhapsody and the disliked Margot Robbie-starring thriller Terminal.
