A Very Dangerous Night — With a Time Machine
From 20th Century Studios, Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice follows two gangsters — Mike (James Marsden) and Nick (Vince Vaughn) — trying to survive what should have been a straightforward night. Instead, it spirals into a violent scramble involving the woman they both love, Alice (Eiza González) … and a fully functioning time machine.

“I came back in a time machine,” Vaughn’s Nick explains. “I want to try to right some wrongs here. But there is a person that could fuck this whole thing up, and that person is me.” And yes, the title’s doing a bit of plot work: there are two Nicks, and Vaughn plays them both.
The Cast and the Writer-Director
Alongside Vaughn, Marsden and González, the film has a supporting cast that includes Keith David, Jimmy Tatro, Stephen Root, Lewis Tan, Ben Schwartz, Emily Hampshire and Arturo Castro.
The film is written and directed by BenDavid Grabinski, who previously helmed Happily and worked on the revival of Are You Afraid of the Dark? Produced by Andrew Lazar, p.g.a., with Richard Middleton and Vanessa Humphrey serving as executive producers.
Release Date
Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice will have its world premiere at the SXSW Film & TV Festival 2026 on March 14, before beginning streaming on Disney+ and Hulu on March 27.
