Harry Da Souza has spent his life cleaning up the Harrigans’ messes. This one might finally be beyond fixing. Paramount+ has released the official trailer for MobLand season 2, with Tom Hardy warning that the family is caught in a “death spiral” as enemies close in, loyalties snap and Pierce Brosnan’s Conrad goes spectacularly off the rails. The Harrigans Have a Death Spiral Problem

The first season 2 teaser gave us guns, explosions and the Harrigans charging back into action. The full trailer now gives that chaos a little more shape — and Harry’s assessment of the situation is not encouraging.

“This family is in a death spiral,” he warns. The Harrigans may have emerged victorious from their war with the Stevensons, but winning hasn’t exactly brought peace. Rivals are circling, alliances are wobbling and Harry seems painfully aware that everyone around him is making his job more difficult by the minute.

His problems aren’t limited to business. Jan (Joanne Froggatt), whose marriage to Harry was already in tatters by the end of season 1, points out that he has spent his life cleaning up after the Harrigans. Her message is pretty clear: there may come a point when even Harry can’t save them from themselves.

Then there’s Kat McAllister (Janet McTeer). The international crime boss looks ready to exploit every weakness she can find, with Harry convinced that she could dismantle the Harrigans piece by piece.

More concerningly, Seraphina (Mandeep Dhillon) is secretly meeting with Kat — and she certainly doesn’t sound committed to keeping Conrad in charge. Someone wants him dead, the knives are coming out inside the family and Harry is once again standing directly in the middle of it.

If Harry is attempting damage control, Conrad looks determined to create as much damage as possible. “There’s been an exciting development,” someone observes in the trailer. “Conrad went completely bonkers berserk.” That may be underselling it.

Helen Mirren’s Maeve, naturally, doesn’t appear particularly interested in calming her husband down, either. So much for a unified front.

Who’s Back for MobLand Season 2?

Hardy returns as Harry Da Souza, with Brosnan and Mirren once again playing Conrad and Maeve Harrigan.

Paddy Considine is also back as Kevin Harrigan, alongside Joanne Froggatt as Jan Da Souza, Lara Pulver as Bella Harrigan, Anson Boon as Eddie Harrigan, Mandeep Dhillon as Seraphina Harrigan, Jasmine Jobson as Zosia, Teddie Allen as Gina Da Souza and Emmett J. Scanlan as Paul O’Donnell.

Janet McTeer and Toby Jones also return, while Johnny Flynn and Ophelia Lovibond are among the season 2 cast.

The series is executive produced by David C. Glasser, Guy Ritchie, Jez Butterworth, Hardy, Ivan Atkinson, Dean Baker, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari and Keith Cox.

What’s Happening With MobLand Season 3?

There’s also been plenty happening behind the scenes since production wrapped on season 2. As we covered following the teaser, reports emerged earlier this year that Hardy would not return for a potential third season following tensions with producers. The situation later changed after further discussions, with Hardy now expected to return should Paramount+ move forward with another season.

For now, though, season 3 has not been formally announced.

MobLand Season 2 Release Date

MobLand season 2 premieres globally on Paramount+ on Friday, September 18.

The season consists of 10 episodes, with new instalments streaming weekly on Fridays and the finale arriving on November 20.
