‘Moon Knight’: Watch Oscar Isaac Training for Brutal Fight Scenes as Marvel Hero

Upcoming Marvel series Moon Knight is going to have some kick-ass fight sequences, at least if this behind-the-scenes training is anything to go by.

Oscar Isaac has unveiled a look at some of the intense combat training he’s tackling for the Disney+ series, which will find him playing Moon Knight, aka Marc Spector, a Jewish-American rabbi’s wayward son, a former boxer, CIA agent, and mercenary.

Captioned “Someone has to do the FUN stuff,” the video shows Isaac practicing moves that include throat cutting, neck breaking and stabbing. Marvel’s been able to, somewhat surprisingly, push the violence a little more in Disney’s streaming world, as evidenced on The Falcon and the Winter Soldier so far. Perhaps Moon Knight will explore the leeway afforded even further?

Check out the video shared via Isaac’s production company, Mad Gene Media, below. Plus, beneath it, you can find a fan pic taken with two of the show’s stars as filming is underway in Europe.

The Umbrella Academy co-creator Jeremy Slater is developing Moon Knight and is leading the show’s writing team, with Egyptian filmmaker Mohamed Diab (Clash) on board to direct. The cast will include Ethan Hawke, on board as the show’s villain (still no confirmation on which character), and May Calamawy (Ramy) in an unknown role.

Moon Knight is but one of many Marvel shows we have to look forward to on Disney+. Also on the way: Loki, Hawkeye, She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel, Secret Invasion, Ironheart and Armor Wars.
