Take a look at the trailer that’s arrived for Most Dangerous Game, a thriller series heading to upcoming streaming service Quibi.
First of all, in case you hadn’t heard about Quibi, this is a new streaming service that will be offering original content with a twist – bite-sized episodes of ten minutes and under in length. So if ten one-hour episodes feels a bit daunting for a binge, this may be for you.
This is an adaptation of Richard Connell’s highly influential 1924 short story, which has been adapted so many times throughout media (even this year’s The Hunt), and finds Aussie actor Liam Hemsworth playing a man diagnosed with a terminal illness. Wanting his pregnant wife to be financial secure once he passes, he accepts an offer to participate in a deadly game where he is hunted for 24 hours – earning more and more money with each hour he stay alive. Christoph Waltz plays the man organising the deadly challenge.
Looks like a riveting show – and with a unfolding narrative that should be perfect for Quibi’s short-form format. Most Dangerous Game will be dropping with Quibi’s U.S. launch on April 6th. Unfortunately, the service hasn’t announced an Australian release date as yet.
