A big new trailer has dropped for the second season of Mr. Robot, the series that came out of nowhere to grab viewers and take home plenty of awards, including Best Drama Television Series at last year’s Golden Globes.
Last season saw fsociety succeed in their mission, and the repercussions are well and truly on their way. Hell, we even see President Obama talking about it. Rami Malek’s Elliot Alderson doesn’t seem to be getting any better, psychologically speaking. Christian Slater’s character is (thankfully) still around, messing with our truly troubled protagonist while pushing him to lead the unfolding revolution.
If you stuck around for the all-important post-credit sequence after season 1’s finale, you’ll remember that Whiterose and the CEO of E Corp revealed they knew was behind the attack. On top of that, the FBI is inching closer to tracking the fsociety members down.
Season 1 was a tense, exciting, layered and expertly crafted run, and with series creator Sam Esmail at the helm of every episode of season 2, you can only imagine what we’re in for in the next chapter.
Mr. Robot season 2 will begin on July 13 (U.S. date).
