Prime Video has released the first teaser trailer for Neagley, handing Maria Sten control of the Reacher franchise’s first spin-off. Unveiled at Comic-Con, the trailer sends the private investigator after the truth behind a friend’s suspicious death, with surveillance, gunfire and plenty of broken bones along the way. Neagley Saves Everyone the Background Check
The teaser opens with someone asking Neagley a simple question: “Who are you?”

She responds with her name, address and former rank as a master sergeant in the Army’s 110th Special Investigations Unit.
“Right now, you’re using that information to find out everything you can about me,” she says. “Figured I’d save you the trouble.”
It is a fitting introduction to the Neagley viewers already know: observant, blunt and several steps ahead of everyone else in the room.
Now working as a private investigator in Chicago, she appears to be assembling some backup for a dangerous new case. It begins when Neagley learns that a beloved friend from her past has been killed in what authorities are calling an accident.
She isn’t buying it.
“I need the truth,” Neagley declares as the teaser shifts into action, offering glimpses of surveillance operations, shootouts, car chases and close-quarters fights that end with the usual Reacher-level efficiency. The investigation also appears to be dragging Neagley back towards painful parts of her own history.
Alan Ritchson Returns as Jack Reacher
The ensemble includes Greyston Holt as Detective Hudson Riley, Adeline Rudolph as Renee Birdwhistle, Jasper Jones as Keno, Matthew Del Negro as Pierce Woodrow and Damon Herriman as Lawrence Cole.
And yes, as the teaser confirms, Alan Ritchson will be here as Jack Reacher, albeit in a guest-star capacity.
The series was created by Reacher showrunner Nick Santora and Nicholas Wootton, whose credits include Prison Break, Scorpion and The Endgame. Both serve as executive producers and co-showrunners.
Lee Child, Don Granger, Sam Hill, Adam Higgs and Lisa Kussner are also executive producers. Hill directed the first two episodes.
When Does Neagley Premiere?
Fans will barely have time to catch their breath in September. All eight episodes of Neagley will premiere on Prime Video on September 16, the same day the Reacher season 4 finale arrives.
Comic-Con also brought more news for the character. Child and author Yasmin Angoe are writing the first standalone Neagley novel, Zero Margin, which is scheduled for release in March 2027.
