The search for the host of the next Academy Awards show is over.
Neil Patrick Harris will be hosting this year’s Oscars ceremony on February 22, according to a report by Variety.
Harris, who has a role in David Fincher’s hit thriller Gone Girl, hosted the Tony Awards in 2013 and hosted the Emmy’s in 2009 and 2013.
The actor will be taking the reigns from Ellen DeGeneres, who hosted last year’s awards. The Academy says the 45.4 million viewers that tuned into the 2014 Academy Awards placed the show as the most-watched in 14 years.
The 87th Academy Awards ceremony will take place on February 22, 2015, and will air in 225 countries.
