Netflix has dropped a new Daredevil trailer, this one offering plenty of new footage and a better understanding of what we’re to expect going in.
Charlie Cox plays Matt Murdock, an injustice-fighting lawyer by day and a masked hero named Daredevil at night. It’s clear that we’re going to be seeing Matt Murdock’s origin story here, with a look back at key events in childhood as well. Vincent D’Onofrio looks to be chewing the scenery nicely, giving us a twisted baddie in the role of Wilson Fisk (aka The Kingpin).
We’re also given a better look at the gals of the show, which include Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple and Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Paige.
So far, so good. There seems to be a decent bit of humour working alongside the overall gritty tone and the casting looks to be spot on. Fingers crossed this Marvel-Netflix team up will provide confidence in their next projects, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and The Defenders.
All of Daredevil‘s 13 episodes will hit Netflix on April 10 (U.S. date).
