A big new trailer has been released for New Line’s upcoming Stephen King adaptation, It.
The buzz for this one has been pretty deafening since that first trailer dropped. King’s book no doubt has a massive following, and the Tim Curry-starring mini-series holds a loyal fanbase too, so there’s certainly a sizeable audience waiting to either exalt or disparage the film. No pressure.
There’s a good amount of new footage to take in here, and so far, so good. At least from what’s been shown thus far, Mama director Andrés Muschietti looks to have directed a visually impressive horror film that could be creepy as hell. With The Dark Tower also nearing release, it’s clear that King’s work has re-entered the zeitgeist in a big way – if he ever even stepped out. Fingers crossed the hype for this adaptation is well worth it.
It, starring Jaeden Lieberher, Wyatt Oleff, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Jack Dylan Grazer, Chosen Jacobs, Nicholas Hamilton, and Bill Skarsgård as Pennywise, will arrive in Australia on September 7 and opens in the U.S. on September 8.
New Line Cinema’s horror thriller “IT,” directed by Andrés Muschietti (“Mama”), is based on the hugely popular Stephen King novel of the same name, which has been terrifying readers for decades.
When children begin to disappear in the town of Derry, Maine, a group of young kids are faced with their biggest fears when they square off against an evil clown named Pennywise, whose history of murder and violence dates back for centuries.
