The upcoming Power Rangers movie has locked in a diverse cast to fill out the roles in its titular team.
Made up of mostly newcomers, the new Power Rangers will consist of Dacre Montgomery as the Red Ranger, Naomi Scott as the Pink Ranger, Ludi Lin as the Black Ranger, RJ Cyler as the Blue Ranger, and Becky Gomez as the Yellow Ranger. You can check out the cast below.
Project Almanac director Dean Israelite is at the helm of the picture, which will see Saban and Lionsgate teaming up to bring the world a new live action feature film based on the iconic property. The idea here is that this will aim to be a pretty big blockbuster, so don’t expect your run-of-the-mill TV outing simply on the big screen.
The screenplay has been written by Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz, who also have credits writing Thor and X-Men: First Class.
Power Rangers is lined up for release in the U.S. on January 13, 2017.
