An awesome new trailer has been released for Snowpiercer, the long-awaited sci-fi film from director Joon-ho Bong (Memories of Murder, The Host, Mother). The trailer’s focus is clearly on the action, but Chris Evans’ performance and the social commentary still makes its way through. We’ve been waiting with bated breath for what seems like forever to see this, with Joon-ho Bong and the Weinstein Company getting into disagreements over the two-and-a-half-hour cut. Bong’s cut was thankfully given the green light earlier this year, but the price was that instead of a wide release, it would receive a platform release with a roll out. Hence, the massive delays. Snowpiercer was first released in South Korea in August last year, and has been slowly unveiled to international territories ever since. We’re going to be watching it at the Sydney Film Festival next month, so don’t forget to come back for our review.
Starring Chris Evans, John Hurt, Jamie Bell, Ed Harris, Alison Pill, Ewen Bremner, Octavia Spencer, Kang-ho Song, and Ko Asung.
