The second Terminator: Genisys trailer has been released, providing plenty new footage and a clearer understanding of the plot, and – dare we say – it actually looks like it just may be entertaining.
Game of Thrones‘ Emilia Clarke certainly looks like the right choice to be playing the new Sarah Connor, we’re just not too sure about the need to include Arnie again. Sure, the series started with him, but can’t we just continue the series in a completely fresh way? Maybe we’re being a little negative; Arnie’s last few films haven’t done him any favours though.
Still, the new trailer shows off a bit more humour (the Terminator still hasn’t mastered that smile) and action, and introduces us to a complication that we weren’t clear about before: a not-quite-human John Connor. Fingers crossed.
The awkwardly-named Terminator: Genisys, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Clarke, Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney, J. K. Simmons, Dayo Okeniyi, Matthew Smith, Courtney B. Vance and Byung-Hun Lee, hits Australia and the U.S. on July 1.
