A brand new trailer has been unveiled for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, the highly anticipated sequel to Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Set ten years after the events in the first film, the apes have established their own lives and their own working society. Of course, major clashes between humans and apes are inevitable. This new trailer shows off much more of the film, and we’re pretty excited. Like the first film, there seems to be a great sense of character here, with a level of heart that should be juggled nicely with the more action-packed moments in the narrative. The special effects look brilliant and the snippets of action look epic. Yep, we’re in line.
Directed by Matt Reeves, who also helmed Cloverfield and Let Me In.
Starring Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Keri Russell, Gary Oldman, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Kirk Acevedo, Toby Kebbell, Enrique Murciano, and Judy Greer.
Official synopsis for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes:
A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.
