What could Bond be in for in his 25th chapter?
Whatever it is, the marketing has been making it look like a gamechanger for the iconic character. After the somewhat underwhelming Spectre unveiled that Christoph Waltz’s villainous Ernst Stavro Blofeld had a big hand to play in what Bond went through in the previous Daniel Craig-starring films, it appears that there’s even more in store to surprise our hero.
“When her secret finds its way out, it’ll be the death of him.” That’s what we hear in the slick new Super Bowl ad that’s arrived for No Time to Die, which is only a couple of months away from release. “Her secret” seems to be referencing Léa Seydoux’s Madeleine Swann, who Bond fell for in Spectre, but that could be a fake out. And just who is the big new villain, Safin, played by Rami Malek?
Directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga (Beasts of No Nation, True Detective s1) and featuring a big cast that also includes Lashana Lynch, Ana de Armas, and Ralph Fiennes, among others, No Time to Die will be released in Australian cinemas on April 8 and hits the U.S. on April 10.
