The final trailer has dropped for Novocaine, a wild-looking action-comedy led by The Boys star Jack Quaid. The film, also known as Novocaine No Pain in Australia, is gearing up for its release following a strong early reception. Take a look above.
The latest trailer, clocking in at just over a minute, wastes no time diving into the high-concept mayhem. It also highlights some of the praise Novocaine has been picking up ahead of release; at the time of writing, the film is sitting at a solid 88% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Quaid stars as Nate, an everyman whose rare condition—an inability to feel pain—turns him into an unlikely action hero. When his love interest, played by Prey actress Amber Midthunder, is kidnapped, Nate launches into a violent rescue mission that leans into both chaos and comedy. Judging by the trailer, expect plenty of cuts and bruises (not that Nate notices). Also along for the ride are Ray Nicholson (Smile 2), Jacob Batalon (Spider-Man: No Way Home), Betty Gabriel (Get Out), and Matt Walsh (Veep).
