The first original Disney•Pixar film in almost three years is on the way.
The official teaser trailer has arrived for Onward, an upcoming CG-animated feature set in a suburban fantasy world, complete with pesky, trash-eating unicorns. The plot follows two teen elf brothers, voiced by Tom Holland and Chris Pratt, who head on a journey to discover if there’s still magic left in the world. That’s all the official synopsis gives away so far; expect more details to be around the corner. This is but a teaser, after all.
Onward is directed and written by Dan Scanlon, who directed and co-wrote Monsters University. The plot is inspired with Scanlon’s real-life relationship with this brother.
The film, which also features voice work from Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Octavia Spencer, will hit the US on March 6, 2020 and arrives in Australia on March19, 2020.
