Left to Right: ‘The Power of the Dog’, ‘Dune’ and ‘Encanto’

All the nominations for the 2022 Oscars have been announced – and we’ve got the complete list for you to check out right here.

With 12 nods, Jane Campion’s The Power of the Dog leads the most nominations of the 94th annual Academy Awards. The Netflix release is up for Best Picture, competing alongside the likes of Denis Villeneuve’s Dune , Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story, and acclaimed Japanese drama Drive My Car. A number of first-time nominations this year, among them: Kristen Stewart, up for Best Actress for her portrayal of Princess Diana in Spencer; Kirsten Dunst, nominated for Best Supporting Actress for The Power of the Dog; and Best Supporting Actor nominees Ciarán Hinds (Belfast), Jesse Plemons and Kodi Smit-McPhee, the latter two also for The Power of the Dog.

More than a few notable snubs this year, with a number of expected shoe-ins absent from the line-up. Lady Gaga failed to get a nomination for her turn in Ridley Scott’s House of Gucci, which, despite the quality of its cast, was skipped over across the board apart from a Makeup and Hairstyling nom. 10 nods for Dune and yet nothing for director Villeneuve; nothing for Joaquin Phoenix picture C’mon C’mon; no Leonardo DiCaprio nom for Don’t Look Up; and no repeat love for last year’s Best Actress winner Frances McDormand for Apple release The Tragedy of Macbeth (although Denzel was nominated for Best Actor).

The 2022 Oscars will be held on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at the Dolby Theatre and Highland Center in Hollywood.
