Lovers of all things pop culture in Sydney and Brisbane will want to mark their calendars.
The Sydney and Brisbane legs of Oz Comic-Con will be tacking place in September, set to provide pop culture enthusiasts with a line-up of celebrities, authors, illustrators, and cosplayers, as well as immersive activations from film studios and other partners.
It’s a big line-up of guests this year, including Hayley Atwell (Agent Carter), KJ Apa (Riverdale), John Barrowman (Arrow), Luke Baines (Shadowhunters), fan artist Bosslogic, and many, many more.
There will be an array of renowned comic book authors and artists in the “Comic District”; a look at original and fan art, including comic books, art prints, novels, jewellery and clothing, in “Artist Alley”; a place where gamers can compete in console tournaments and have free play opportunities in the “Gaming Zone” (and yes, there is a UNO Tournament); a place where the cosplay community can meet and take part in ‘Quest for the Crown’, the first stop in a global competition that leads to the 2020 C2E2 Crown Championships of Cosplay in Chicago; plus, a wealth of knowledge will be on offer with panels with movie & TV stars and industry professionals, from comic artists to cosplayers.
