Take a look at a clip Netflix has released from their upcoming action film Project Power, starring Jamie FoxxJoseph Gordon-Levitt and Dominique Fishback.

The plot tells of a pill that, momentarily, gives its users unpredictable superpowers. An ex-soldier (Foxx), a local cop (Levitt) and a teen dealer (Fishback) find themselves teaming up to take on those who have big plans for this drug.

The scene below finds Gordon-Levitt’s Frank taking on a suspect who’s on the drug, which happens to make the guy invisible (well, kind of?). The perp gets the upper hand during the clash, resulting in Frank receiving a bullet right to the temple. Luckily for him, he’s also popped a pill. It’s a fun concept; looking forward to checking the film out. If you want to see the film’s official trailer, you can do so right HERE.

Directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman (Paranormal Activity 3 and 4, Viral, Nerve) and also starring Machine Gun Kelly, Rodrigo Santoro, and Courtney B. Vance, among others, Project Power will be streaming on Netflix from August 14th.

Official synopsis for Project Power:

On the streets of New Orleans, word begins to spread about a mysterious new pill that unlocks superpowers unique to each user. The catch: You don’t know what will happen until you take it. While some develop bulletproof skin, invisibility, and super strength, others exhibit a deadlier reaction. But when the pill escalates crime within the city to dangerous levels, a local cop (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) teams with a teenage dealer (Dominique Fishback) and a former soldier fueled by a secret vendetta (Jamie Foxx) to fight power with power and risk taking the pill in order to track down and stop the group responsible for creating it.
