The first official trailer for horror-comedy sequel Ready or Not 2: Here I Come is here, dragging Samara Weaving’s Grace straight out of the flames of the first film and into an even nastier round of rich-people nonsense. The new chapter wastes no time picking up where she left off — bruised, furious, and somehow still alive — only now the game’s bigger, weirder, and stacked with fresh faces ready to kill a bride on sight. A new level of the nightmare
The sequel drops Grace into a hospital bed — handcuffed, naturally — before she’s informed that surviving the Le Domas clan wasn’t the win she thought it was. It turns out the bloodbath only unlocked the next stage: four powerful High Council families who run the world in the shadows and have now decided she’s their problem.

“You’ve caused quite a stir, Mrs. Le Domas. You married into that family, now they’re dead,” a lawyer, played by Elijah Wood, tells Grace. “What you didn’t know is that this goes far beyond them. By surviving Hide-and-Seek, you’ve triggered a new game, this time against the High Council Families, double or nothing. This part will be familiar; they will try to kill you.”
That alone would be enough to ruin anyone’s morning, but Grace soon discovers she’s not playing solo. After she snaps back at the new killing committee that she’s “not playing,” they unveil exactly why she doesn’t get a choice.
Enter Faith, Grace’s estranged sister, played by Kathryn Newton, who gets pulled into the mess whether she wants to be or not. Their reunion comes with a catch: they have to survive long enough for Grace to claim something called the High Seat — a throne that apparently keeps this whole murderous tradition spinning.
The killer cast and filmmakers
The fresh pack of wealthy psychos are portrayed by Sarah Michelle Gellar, Shawn Hatosy, Néstor Carbonell, Kevin Durand, Olivia Cheng, and David Cronenberg (!).
Directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, collectively known as Radio Silence, are back behind the camera, with writers Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy once again shaping Grace’s exceptionally cursed journey.

Ready or Not 2: Here I Come hits Australian cinemas on April 9 and opens in the U.S. on April 10, 2026.
