A red band clip has been released from The Wolf of Wall Street, Martin Scorsese’s latest film with Leonardo DiCaprio. Many audiences have been shocked at the content within the film, with orgies and drugs by the truckload. Understandably, the marketing for the film hasn’t exactly been forthright in regards to all of this. There wasn’t even a red band trailer. But now we have the first red band clip from the film. The clip has DiCarprio’s Jordan Belfort arguing with Margot Robbie’s Naomi Lapaglia. Swearing ensues.
Official synopsis for The Wolf of Wall Street:
Revered filmmaker Martin Scorsese directs the story of New York stockbroker Jordan Belfort (Leonardo DiCaprio). From the American dream to corporate greed, Belfort goes from penny stocks and righteousness to IPOs and a life of corruption in the late 80s. Excess success and affluence in his early twenties as founder of the brokerage firm Stratton Oakmont warranted Belfort the title – “The Wolf of Wall Street.”
Money. Power. Women. Drugs. Temptations were for the taking and the threat of authority was irrelevant. For Jordan and his wolf pack, modesty was quickly deemed overrated and more was never enough.
The Wolf of Wall Street is currently in U.S. cinemas and will be released in Australia on January 23.
