Ryan Reynolds Added to Dwayne Johnson & Gal Gadot Netflix Movie ‘Red Notice’

Netflix has some very big names attached to one of their upcoming films.

Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot are set to star in action-thriller Red Notice, which has now been set up at the streaming giant after landing at Universal in June 2018. Ryan Reynolds has been added as the third lead.

The film is being described as “a globetrotting action-thriller” centered around the pursuit of the most wanted art thief in the world. Director Rawson Marshall Thurber – whose credits include Skyscraper and Central Intelligence – is at the helm and will also be writing the screenplay, which is based on his own original pitch.

“With Red Notice, our goal at Seven Bucks Productions was to break down traditional barriers and create a true global event for the audience. Netflix has illustrated that they are the perfect partners to accomplish this goal,” said Johnson, who is producing with Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia via their Seven Bucks Productions banner.

“Director/writer Rawson Thurber has delivered a dynamic script that me and my co-stars and partners-in-heist, Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds, can’t wait to shoot. The fun we’re gonna have making Red Notice, but more importantly – the fun the worldwide audience will have watching it in 190+ countries – all at the same moment.”

Gadot has been attached to this one since the project hit Universal last year. “So excited about this project! This is gonna be so much fun & I can’t wait to share this one with you,” the Wonder Woman star posted on social media. “Let’s do this boys!”

Principal photography on Red Notice is set to begin in 2020.
