Our first look at the long-awaited fourth season of Rick and Morty has arrived.
Adult Swim unveiled the following clip during it’s Comic-Con Rick and Morty panel, driving up the already loud hype for the animated show’s next chapter. The scene finds Morty and Jerry trying to get an app taken down, and roughing up a new character to do so.
This new alien character: Glootie, voiced by actor/filmmaker Taika Waititi. This particular episode will also feature Sam Neill, whose character, says co-creator Justin Roiland, will be “from the same species as Taika’s character, and we wanted a Kiwi flavor to their species.”
Paul Giamatti and Kathleen Turner are among the other guest voice appearances in Rick and Morty‘s 10-episode season 4, which begins on Adult Swim on November 10.
Adult Swim’s official synopsis for Rick and Morty:
Rick and Morty is Adult Swim’s most scientifically accurate animated comedy. Created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon, it catalogues the bizarre misadventures of a bored scientific genius/drunkard and his socially awkward grandson, Morty. Their exploits tend to have unintended consequences for Morty’s dysfunctional family, especially his unfailingly mediocre father, Jerry. Watch Rick and Morty battle everything from interdimensional customs agents to Cronenberg monsters now.
