Kevin Hart and Ice Cube are set to reprise their roles in the Ride Along franchise for a third film.
Universal Pictures has started to develop Ride Along 3, which follows on from two successful action-comedies with Hart and Cube in lead roles.
According to The Wrap, franchise director Tim Story and writers Phil Hay & Matt Manfredi will be continuing on for the third chapter, which should bode well for fans of the first two films.
Ride Along raked in $US154.4 million on an estimated production budget of $US25 million. Ride Along 2 also did well, earning $US124.2 million on a production budget of $US40 million.
Next up for Hart is his new stand-up movie Kevin Hart: What Now?, which is currently rolling out to US cinemas and will be opening in Australia in limited release from October 20.
Cube will next be seen starring alongside Charlie Day in Fist Fight, set for US release on February 17, 2017.
