Prime Video has released the official trailer for Ride or Die, an action-comedy series putting Octavia Spencer and Hannah Waddingham on a chaotic European road trip with assassins, mob trouble and one very big friendship secret. Ride or Die Trailer Puts Friendship in the Firing Line
The trailer introduces Debbie Claybourne, played by Spencer, and Judith Burton, played by Waddingham, as best friends whose bond has lasted for decades. They laugh together, cook together, party together and, as it turns out, have not been entirely honest with each other. Well, one of them hasn’t.

Debbie’s world is blown wide open when Judith reveals that she is not just her glamorous, sharply dressed best friend. She is also an international assassin. As Judith puts it in the trailer: “Deb, I’m an assassin. I kill terrible people.” Debbie responds, “For money.” Judith doesn’t miss a beat: “Well, if I did it for free, I’d be a serial killer.”
The action-comedy kicks into gear after a mysterious figure from Judith’s past resurfaces and a hit goes badly wrong. From there, the pair are forced to flee across Europe, with law enforcement, trained killers and dangerous criminals all closing in. Not exactly the relaxed girls’ trip anyone had in mind.
The cast also includes Ed Skrein as Billy, Calam Lynch as Sam, Savannah Steyn as Queenie, Jamie Parker as David, Jacky Ido as Jacques, Sylvia Hoeks as Ana, and Bill Nighy as The Director.
The Team Behind Ride or Die
Ride or Die was created by Tessa Coates, who executive produces alongside showrunner Matt Miller and director Peyton Reed. Miller has experience in the action-comedy space, having created the television reboot of Lethal Weapon, while Reed is well known for directing Marvel’s Ant-Man films.
The series is produced by Paramount Television Studios and Amazon MGM Studios, along with Andy and Barbara Muschietti’s Double Dream and Octavia Spencer’s Orit Entertainment.
Executive producers include both Spencer and Waddingham; Coates, Miller and Reed; Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti and Irene Yeung for Double Dream; Brian Clisham; and Stephanie Kluft.
When Does Ride or Die Premiere on Prime Video?
Ride or Die will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on Wednesday, July 15.
All eight episodes of the series will be released at once, letting viewers follow Debbie and Judith’s increasingly dangerous trip across Europe in one hit.
