The second trailer has been released for The Purge: Anarchy. While the first film, starring Ethan Hawke and Lena Headey, took place inside the home of a wealthy family, this one takes the action to the streets. The trailer sees Frank Grillo’s character, a man out for revenge on the one night where everything – including murder – is legal for 12 hours, reluctantly help out two girls in trouble. Also, a couple’s car breaks down just as the purge begins. We’re assuming these two plots will meet up at some point. The first film was quite a hit, earning over $89 million with a budget of just $3 million. The sequel will most likely up the first film’s success.
Writer-director James DeMonaco returns at the helm.
