The first full trailer has dropped for Shades of Blue, the upcoming NBC crime drama starring Jennifer Lopez.
Lopez plays Harlee Santas, an FBI agent and single mother who has become accustomed to the blurry lines being crossed with a group of dirty cops she has affiliated herself with over the years. When she’s caught out and forced to inform on her “brothers,” she realises her past actions and loyalties could do more than destroy her career.
Ray Liotta also stars in the series, doing his intimidating thing as the leader of the corrupt group of agents.
Shades of Blue is created by Adi Hasak, who’s best known as the screenwriter behind From Paris with Love and 3 Days to Kill.
It’s going to be interesting to see whether or not this series registers as a hit among viewers. We’ve certainly seen this kind of plot play out before, but there could be enough going on to ensure riveting plot developments as the series unfolds. We’ll see.
Shades of Blue, also starring Warren Kole, Dayo Okeniyi, Drea de Matteo, Hampton Fluker, Vincent Laresca and Sarah Jeffery, premieres on NBC on January 7.
