Showtime Developing Limited Series on Teddy Roosevelt

Teddy Roosevelt’s life is set to hit the small screen.

Showtime is in the process of developing a limited series to tell the story of the 26th U.S. President. According to Variety‘s insiders, the series is said to be a “brilliant take” on Roosevelt’s “real-life heroic story.”

The script is being penned by David McKenna, known for his work on American History X, Blow, and S.W.A.T. He’s also on board as executive producer, working alongside Electus’ Ben Silverman & Sean Canino and Authentic Talent and Literary Management’s Jon Rubinstein & Jason Egenberg.

There’s no word on who it is, but apparently the creative team has their eye on an actor to take on the lead role. If cast, they’ll also be attached as an exec producer.

We’ll let you know how this one develops.
