The first trailer has been released for Shut In, the upcoming thriller starring Naomi Watts and Jacob Tremblay.

The film sees Watts playing a widowed child psychologist who lives an isolated existence in rural New England. She takes care of her son (Charlie Heaton – Stranger Things), who was left in a vegetative state in the accident that also killed her husband. She decides to take in a young boy (Tremblay) as a foster child, and everything takes a turn for the worst when he suddenly disappears. She is soon haunted by what seems to be the ghost of the boy. Or is she just crazy?

Tremblay delivered an Oscar-calibre performance in last year’s Room, so it’ll be interesting to see what he brings in a decidedly different role here. Apart from Shut In, you can see Tremblay again delve into more spooky fare with Before I Wake, which has him playing a boy whose dreams quite literally become a reality.

Shut In, directed by Farren Blackburn (Hammer of the Gods), will hit U.S. cinemas on November 11.
