Star Wars fans, take a breath: Our first look at the upcoming Han Solo movie has arrived in the form of a Super Bowl trailer.
The most beloved scoundrel in the galaxy gets his own spinoff film in the prequel Solo: A Star Wars Story, which gives us a look at how Han Solo (Alden Ehrenreich) came to meet notorious gambler Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover) and his future copilot Chewbacca (Joonas Suotamo).
It may only be a 45 second spot, but the excitement levels this first look provides is off the charts. The film’s had a bumpy road to fruition, after The Lego Movie helmers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller were fired and Ron Howard (Apollo 13, A Beautiful Mind) was brought on, so it remains to be seen if that Lucasfilm control works wonders like Marvel’s does. So far, Lucasfilm has been mostly on point with their new outings, even if The Last Jedi had some fans up in arms with some of its choices.
Solo: A Star Wars Story, also starring Emilia Clarke, Woody Harrelson, Paul Bettany and Warwick Davis, among others, will arrive in Australia on May 24 and hits the U.S. on May 25.
