Earlier this month we found out that a few young actors were testing for the parts of young Cyclops (Taron Egerton, Jamie Blackley, Tye Sheridan), Jean Grey (Sophie Turner, Saoirse Ronan) and Storm (Alexandra Shipp, Zendaya Coleman). Well, the results are in. Director Bryan Singer has revealed the young actors set to play young mutants in X-Men: Apocalypse.
Turner, known for playing Sansa Stark in HBO’s hugely popular series Game of Thrones, has been cast as young Jean Grey; Shipp, who recently played R&B superstar Aaliyah in Lifetime’s Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B, was cast as young Storm; and Sheridan, who impressed many with his performance opposite Matthew McConaughey in Jeff Nichols’ Mud, has been cast as Cyclops.
