Watch: ‘Spider-Man 3’ Title Unveiled by Tom Holland, Zendaya & Jacob Batalon

Sony Pictures Releasing

The title of the next Spider-Man movie has been unveiled!

In an amusing little video teasing Tom Holland‘s past tendency to drop spoilers, Spider-Man stars Holland, Zendaya and Jacob Batalon revealed the official title of the next Spidey film. Get ready, for Spider-Man: No Way Home.

More on the film in a sec, but first, take a look at the viral video below.

Before the title was finally revealed in the vid above, the cast friendly trolled fans by sharing fake titles:

Spider-Man: No Way Home continues on the “home” theme of the franchise’s previous titles, Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far from Home. It also suggests a more grave tone for Marvel‘s third Spidey-led chapter. Don’t forget how we left Peter Parker at the end of Far from Home: framed for the murder of Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) and with the world now knowing that he is, in fact, Spider-Man.

From the little we know thus far, it sure sounds like the film will have a lot going on. No Way Home will not only have Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, as Spidey’s new mentor figure, it will also see the multiverse return of previous Spidey villains Electro and Doctor Octopus (Jamie Foxx and Alfred Molina reprising their roles respectively). Plus, there’s also the rumour that previous Spider-Men Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will be back, but that’s yet to be confirmed (Holland told Jimmy Fallon that “there is no cameo planned” from either actor, but we’ll see).

Homecoming and Far from Home director Jon Watts returns at the helm for round three, with screenwriters Erik Sommers and Chris McKenna also back on writing duties.

Mark that date: Spider-Man: No Way Home will be hitting US cinemas on December 17th and Australian cinemas on December 26th.
