‘Spider-Man: Far from Home’ Reactions Praise Film as Shocking, Romantic & Very Fun

Sony Pictures

The first reactions for Spider-Man: Far from Home are starting to hit the net.

The embargo for social media reactions has been lifted, and things are looking very good indeed for the webslinger’s net big-screen adventure. The overall print review embargo hasn’t lifted yet, but there’s still a lot to go on from the following tweets. Yes, it’s good. Like, really good.

Early reactions are commending the film for not only being a fun ride, as one would no doubt hope and expect this far in with Marvel, but for also carrying with it some shocking turns, sweet romance, and fantastic performances from Tom Holland, Zendaya, and particularly from Jake Gyllenhaal – new to the MCU as Mysterio.

It’s also good to read that the film works as a “perfect Avengers: Endgame epilogue,” considering how one of that film’s big losses left Peter Parker. That movie’s events were verrry big, and it sounds like Far from Home is taking it into account nicely while giving Spidey his own new chapter.

And we’re oh-so intrigued as to the surprises that many are mentioning. What could they be about? Check out all the reactions below – and don’t worry about spoilers, we’ve made sure there aren’t any.

Spider-Man: Far from Home, also starring Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Jon Favreau and Marisa Tomei, arrives in Australia on July 1 and hits the US on July 2.
