‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Posters Have Spidey Hanging Out in New York

Three new posters have been unveiled for Spider-Man: Homecoming, the webslinger’s first solo film under both Sony and Marvel.

As the big Justice League trailer went up, a trio of bright and colourful posters were unveiled for the upcoming Spidey film, which will be arriving in Australia on July 6 and hitting the US on July 7.

Having Spider-Man playing in the same sand box as the Avengers is a pretty big deal, and the new posters don’t want you to forget it. The first Homecoming trailers showed us that Robert Downey Jr’s Tony Stark/Iron Man will have a role to play in the film, and although Iron Man himself doesn’t appear here, Stark’s Avengers Tower is prominently featured in two of the three images.

The first poster below is arguably the best, showcasing New York, the Avengers Tower and Spidey (Tom Holland) rocking a school blazer and chilling out with headphones on. Just three and a bit months, folks! We can’t wait.

The posters were released via the official Spider-Man: Homecoming Twitter account:

Official synopsis for Spider-Man: Homecoming, also starring Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, Jon Favreau and Marisa Tomei:

A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.

Directed by Jon Watts. Produced by Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal. Screenplay by Jonathan Goldstein & John Francis Daley and Jon Watts & Christopher Ford and Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers, Based on the Marvel Comic Book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.
