Miles Morales Leads PlayStation 5’s Exciting New ‘Spider-Man’ Game Trailer

Insomniac Games, Sony, Marvel

Sony has officially unveiled their Sony PlayStation 5 – now let the hype-fuelling first game trailers begin.

The PS5 has an exciting title to help attract gamers once it launches: Spider-Man: Miles Morales. That’s right, the follow-up to Insomniac Games’ fantastic 2018 game Spider-Man is officially on the way, and we have our first look thanks to this announcement trailer.

The first game slowly introduced Miles Morales throughout the Peter Parker narrative, putting the pieces in place for the character to play a much bigger role in the future – particularly with the way the game ended. If you played the DLC The City That Never Sleeps, you’ll know how that story developed even further. And now he’s taken on the mantle.

As per Sony:

Players will experience the rise of Miles Morales as he masters new powers to become his own Spider-Man. With PS5’s ultra-fast SSD, players can near-instantaneously fast-travel across Marvel’s New York City, or feel the tension of each one of Miles’s web-swings, punches, web shots, and venom blasts with the DualSense wireless controller’s haptic feedback. Highly-detailed character models and enhanced visuals across the game intensify the story of Miles Morales as he faces great, new challenges while learning to be his own Spider-Man.

“Go be a hero, Miles.” We can’t wait.

Although no exact date has been announced for Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Sony says it will be swinging in sometime in the 2020 holiday season – the same period the PS5 will drop.
