One of the coolest people in the galaxy is returning.

The still untitled next Star Wars movie, Episode IX, will feature the return of Billy Dee Williams as gambler and former smuggler Lando Calrissian.

This will mark Williams’ first physical return as the character since Return of the Jedi in 1983. The actor has voiced the character a number of times over the years, including Star Wars Rebels, Robot Chicken, The LEGO Movie and Star Wars: Battlefront I & II.

As of yet, no details regarding what role Calrissian will play in his return have been revealed. The character has been enjoying a bit of a resurgence of late, at least partly due to Donald Glover’s interpretation of a younger Calrissian in the spinoff Solo: A Star Wars Story.

J.J. Abrams is directing Star Wars: Episode IX, which is expected to close out this new trilogy. The film, which will see the return of cast members Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac and Adam Driver, among others, and introduce new additions such as Keri Russell, will be hitting US cinemas on December 20, 2019.
