The CW’s DC universe is set to expand with a big chapter; one based on the Superman and Lois Lane characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.
Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch are set to continue on their roles as Superman/Clark Kent and Lois Lane respecitvely, who they’ve played a number of times in CW’s DC shows and crossovers (aka the “Arrowverse”). The one-hour series will revolve around the world’s most famous Super Hero and comic books’ most famous journalist as they deal with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society.
The potential series will come from The Flash executive producer Todd Helbing, who’s on board as writer and executive producer, with Sarah Schechter, Geoff Johns and DC Universe’s Greg Berlanti also attached.
The CW has big plans ahead as two of their biggest shows – Arrow and The 100 – come to an end. There are backdoor pilots (an episode that introduces another show’s characters/narrative) coming for an Arrow spinoff that will focus on The Canaries – with Katherine McNamara, Katie Cassidy and Juliana Harkavy – as well as a prequel to The 100.
