New ‘Suspiria’ Trailer Unveils More of the Disturbing-Looking Remake

This one’s moved high up on our ‘can’t wait’ list.

When word first broke that there was to be a remake of Dario Argento’s beloved 1977 horror film Suspiria many weren’t pleased, and understandably so. But, as films like The Departed and Blade Runner 2049 have showed, get the right talent involved and Hollywood’s obsession with remakes and sequels can deliver true gems. This could be another.

Italian filmmaker Luca Guadagnino (I Am Love, Call Me By Your Name) directs this remake, which stars Dakota Johnson as an ambitious young dancer who joins a world-renowned dance company harbouring some very evil happenings. It looks damn potent, the new trailer hinting at some truly unsettling imagery and a decidedly creepy atmosphere. Fingers crossed this is as good as it looks. Take a look at the new trailer below and you can find new character posters beneath it.

Suspiria, also starring Tilda Swinton, Mia Goth, Lutz Ebersdorf and Chloe Grace Moretz, will be hitting US cinemas on October 26 and arrives in Australia on November 8.
