Tilda Swinton’s chameleon-esque skills as an actress will be getting a workout in the upcoming remake of Suspiria.
Images have leaked from the set of Suspiria, the upcoming remake of Dario Argento’s renowned 1977 horror film of the same name. The original film followed Suzy Bannion (Jessica Harper), a newcomer to a fancy ballet academy who gradually comes to realize that the school is a front for something far more sinister and supernatural amidst a series of grisly murders.
The set images from the Amazon Studios horror film reveal Swinton under some downright convincing make up, made up to look like an elderly man. Check out the images below:

There’s no official word on who exactly she’s playing in these images, but the film’s IMDB page has Swinton credited as Madame Blanc. Played by Joan Bennett in the ’77 film, Madame Blanc is the vice-directress at the academy.
Playing Suzy, although apparently it’s Susie this time around, is Fifty Shades star Dakota Johnson. The cast includes Chloë Grace Moretz, Mia Goth, Sylvie Testud and Harper.
Italian filmmaker Luca Guadagnino, who directed Swinton in I Am Love (2009) and A Bigger Splash (2015), is directing from a screenplay by David Kajganich (The Invasion, True Story, A Bigger Splash).
