‘The End of the F-ing World’ Season 2 Trailer: Big Surprises Teased in the Next Chapter of Netflix’s Must-See Series

Netflix

The second season of The End of the F***ing World is finally close.

Netflix has released the first trailer for the second chapter of the dark British comedy-drama, based on the graphic novel of the same name by Charles Forsman. The first season earned acclaim (our review is HERE) and a passionate-yet-small audience when it aired in the UK in October 2017, and proceeded to blow up when it hit Netflix worldwide in January 2018.

S1 ended on quite the dramatic cliffhanger, with James (Alex Lawther) attempting to take the blame and running off – until a gunshot rings out and we go to black. Well, the trailer below sure makes it at least seem like James dies, although we can’t be sure. Hopefully he’s okay and turns up sometime in this season. We’ll be catching up with Alyssa (Jessica Barden) two years later, with what looks like a wedding and further deep unhappiness. A big focus is on a new character: Bonnie (played by Naomi Ackie), another outsider with a troubled past, a girl with a mysterious connection to Alyssa.

Under a week until it arrives! And if you haven’t seen the first season yet, do yourself a favour and smash it out; short eps makes it a nice binge. The End of the F***ing World season 2 will be hitting Netflix on November 5.

Official rundown for The End of the F***ing World season 2:

Alyssa (Jessica Barden, The Lobster) is still dealing with the fallout of the events of the first series. The second series sees the introduction of the new character of Bonnie, played by BIFA-winning Naomi Ackie (Lady Macbeth, the forthcoming Star Wars: Episode IX). Bonnie is an outsider with a troubled past and a mysterious connection to Alyssa.

British writer Charlie Covell returns to write The End of the F***ing World which is inspired by the characters from the award-winning series of comic books by Charles Forsman. The original songs and score will again be written and performed by Graham Coxon. British directors Lucy Forbes (In My Skin) and Destiny Ekaragha (Gone Too Far) direct the first and second block respectively.

The series is produced by Clerkenwell Films and Dominic Buchanan Productions. Executive Producers are Murray Ferguson, Ed Macdonald, Andy Baker, Dominic Buchanan, Jonathan Entwistle and Charlie Covell. The Producer is Jenny Frayn. The End of the F***ing World is a co-production from Netflix and Channel 4.

The End of the F***ing World season 2 will launch in all Netflix territories outside the UK on 5 November 2019
