New The Flash Trailer

A new trailer has been released for The Flash, CW’s new series based on the DC comics character of the same name. The Flash trailer gives us a good amount of footage and sets the tone for what we can expect from the show. This is basically a spin-off of CW’s other superhero show Arrow, and as they both inhabit the same universe, Arrow himself makes an appearance here. The two shows will do a cross over in episode 8 of both upcoming seasons. This will surely draw in Arrow fans, which will help The Flash get off the ground with a somewhat established fanbase. The Flash premieres on The CW on October 7th. Check out the trailer and the latest poster below.

The Flash stars Grant Gustin, Danielle Panabaker, Carlos Valdes, Jesse L. Martin, Candice Patton, Tom Cavanagh, Rick Cosnett, and John Wesley Shipp. Robbie Amell, Wentworth Miller, and Clancy Brown are poised for guest appearances.

Official synopsis for The Flash:

After a particle accelerator causes a freak storm, CSI Investigator Barry Allen is struck by lightning and falls into a coma. Months later he awakens with the power of super speed, granting him the ability to move through Central City like an unseen guardian angel. Though initially excited by his newfound powers, Barry is shocked to discover he is not the only “meta-human” who was created in the wake of the accelerator explosion — and not everyone is using their new powers for good. Barry partners with S.T.A.R. Labs and dedicates his life to protect the innocent. For now, only a few close friends and associates know that Barry is literally the fastest man alive, but it won’t be long before the world learns what Barry Allen has become …The Flash.
