‘The French Dispatch’ Trailer: Murray, Chalamet, Wilson, Brody & So Many More in Wes Anderson’s Latest

Fox Searchlight

The trailer has arrived for The French Dispatch, the next film from filmmaker Wes Anderson (Moonrise Kingdom, Fantastic Mr. Fox, The Royal Tenenbaums).

The film tells a collection of stories from the final issue of an American magazine published in a fictional 20th-century French city – and it’s oh-so Anderson. The dryly-comedic, stylishly-symmetrical stylings of the auteur are firmly stamped across the fun trailer below, and of course there’s an all-star cast.

You’ll see a number of familiar Wes Anderson faces in the line-up, which includes (big breath) Benicio del Toro, Adrien Brody, Tilda Swinton, Léa Seydoux, Frances McDormand, Timothée Chalamet, Lyna Khoudri, Jeffrey Wright, Mathieu Amalric, Stephen Park, Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, Elisabeth Moss, Christoph Waltz… and others!

Somehow it’s been six years since Anderson’s previous live-action movie, the award-winning, much-loved The Grand Budapest Hotel (he followed it up with 2018’s stop-motion animated feature Isle of Dogs). Looking forward to seeing what he’s got in store here!

The French Dispatch will open in U.S. cinemas on July 24 and
