Netflix Unveils Trailer for Chilling Swedish Crime Series ‘The Glass Dome’

Netflix has unveiled the official trailer for its upcoming Swedish crime drama The Glass Dome, offering a first look at a tense and atmospheric thriller that appears to be as much about personal trauma as it is about small-town secrets. Trailer above and information below.

The limited series stars Léonie Vincent (Bäckström, Spring Tide) as Lejla, a criminologist and behaviourist who returns to a remote, nearly deserted community somewhere in Sweden. It’s not exactly a joyous homecoming. As a young girl, Lejla was held hostage in this very place by an unidentified perpetrator. Now, years later, she finds herself back—this time living with Valter (Johan Hedenberg, The Sandhamn Murders), a retired police officer who once worked her case. The uneasy peace is shattered when a young girl goes missing, forcing Lejla to confront her past and question whether history is repeating itself.

From the footage in the trailer, The Glass Dome promises a slow-burn mystery drenched in Nordic noir sensibilities. Expect shadowy forests, lingering glances, and plenty of “don’t trust anyone” energy. The village, it seems, is hiding more than just memories.

The series is based on a story idea by Camilla Läckberg, the bestselling author behind The Fjällbacka Murders (which was also adapted into a serie). It’s co-directed by Henrik Björn and Lisa Farzaneh and produced by Agnes Blåsjö for Creative Society Production.

Joining Vincent and Hedenberg in the cast are Johan Rheborg (Carmen Curlers), Farzad Farzaneh (Bara barnen), Ia Langhammer (The Hunters), Cecilia Nilsson (Snow Angels), Emil Almén (Gåsmamman), Emma Broomé (Taelgia), Oscar Töringe (Baby Fever), and Ville Virtanen (Bordertown).

The Glass Dome, a Netflix limited series, premieres globally on April 15th.
