‘The I-Land’ Trailer: Netflix Mini-Series is Like a Cheap ‘Lost’ Meets ‘Hunger Games’

If you really missed Lost and, for some reason, wanted a new version – here you go.

Netflix has dropped the trailer for The I-Land (that title though), a sci-fi mystery mini-series that finds a number of people waking up on an island that – wait for it – isn’t what it seems. Cue a Hunger Games-style narrative as these people try to outlast psychological and physical challenges, and that budget keeps the grade decidedly B (that shark though!).

Wicker Man and Death at a Funeral remakes director Neil LaBute is among the creatives of this series, which has a cast that includes Kate Bosworth, Natalie Martinez, Alex Pettyfer, Kyle Schmid and Gilles Geary as Mason.

The I-Land will hit Netflix on September 12.

Official synopsis for The I-Land:

When ten people wake up on a treacherous island with no memory of who they are or how they got there, they set off on a trek to try to get back home. They soon discover this world is not as it seems. Faced with the I-Land’s extreme psychological and physical challenges, they must rise to their better selves — or die as their worst ones.
