The trailer has arrived for upcoming Netflix film The Man from Toronto, an action-comedy bringing together Kevin Hart and Woody Harrelson.
The film has Hart playing Teddy, a guy who picks the wrong Airbnb and is mistaken for an assassin who goes by “The Man from Toronto”, played by Harrelson. The authorities want him to keep playing the role to help them catch the real assassin, but things get further out of control when the actual Man from Toronto turns up and has a similar agenda. “My clients think you’re me, so you’re going to complete the mission,” he tells Teddy, who finds himself in a world of bullets, explosions, and ass shots (not the collagen kind).
A potentially entertaining albeit familiar-looking comedy here, which should benefit from the promising two-hander of Hart and Harrelson. It’s another action-comedy for Aussie director Patrick Hughes, who previously helmed The Hitman’s Bodyguard and its sequel The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard, as well as The Expendables 3 and Red Hill.
The Man from Toronto, also starring Kaley Cuoco, Jasmine Mathews, Lela Loren, Pierson Fodé, Jencarlos Canela, and Ellen Barkin, will be streaming on Netflix from June 24th.
