20th Century Fox has dropped the trailer for The Mountain Between Us, the upcoming survival feature that pits Idris Elba and Kate Winslet against the elements.
Elba and Winslet plays two strangers that survive a plane crash and must rely on each other as they traverse perilous, snow-covered mountains in the hope of being saved.
This adventure-drama is boasting two strong leads and a refreshingly straightforward plot, not to mention some picturesque-looking cinematography from Australian D.O.P. Mandy Walker (Australia, Tracks, Hidden Figures). Fingers crossed this one delivers.
Acclaimed Israeli filmmaker Hany Abu-Asad (Paradise Now, Omar) directs from a screenplay by Chris Weitz (About a Boy, Rogue One) and J. Mills Goodloe (The Age of Adaline, Everything, Everything).
The Mountain Between Us, also starring Beau Bridges and Dermot Mulroney, will open in Aussie cinemas on October 19 and hits the U.S. on October 20.
