It’s been a little while since we’ve had some fun movie marketing pranks to share.
There have been some amusing little movie pranks over the years, such as when The Ring spirit Samara scared TV hosts and unsuspecting customers in an electronics store. Roadshow Films has crafted the latest prank, inviting members of the public to its offices to “test” a VR experience for highly marketed Conjuring franchise entry The Nun. What they didn’t know was that the VR experience would suddenly stop, and when they lifted their VR masks… Yeah, they’re not in for a fun moment. It’s amusing stuff, with some impressive screams, and one guy even smashes a piece of equipment.
It’s not the first time horror creation The Nun was used in a prank. This Conjuring 2 mirror prank even had one victim retaliate against the demon, showing off some impulsive aiming with a bottle.
The Nun, starring Demian Bichir, Taissa Farmiga, Jonas Bloquet, Charlotte Hope, Ingrid Bisu and Bonnie Aarons, opens in Australian cinemas 6 September and in the US on 7 September.

When a young nun at a cloistered abbey in Romania takes her own life, a priest with a haunted past and a novitiate on the threshold of her final vows are sent by the Vatican to investigate.
