‘The Perfection’ Trailer: Musicians Compete in Unsettling Netflix Horror-Thriller

Netflix has released the first trailer for upcoming horror-thriller The Perfection, which finds Get Out and Girls actress Allison Williams playing a potentially very sinister musician.

The film’s plot follows what unfolds when musical prodigy Charlotte (Williams) seeks out her former school’s new star pupil (Logan Browning, Dear White People). That’s all that is really known of the plot, but the trailer below shows off a nutty, verrry dark outing as this relationship derails.

This could be one to place on that ‘My List’ come release. It’s a great trailer, Williams looks be putting in a great turn, and director Richard Shepard has needed a feature hit since 2005’s underappreciated dark comedy The Matador. Here’s hoping.

The Perfection will hit Netflix on May 24.

Netflix’s official synopsis for The Perfection:

The most buzzed-about movie at last year’s Fantastic Fest, THE PERFECTION is an elegant and terrifying suspense ride filled with unexpected twists and turns. When troubled musical prodigy Charlotte (Allison Williams) seeks out Elizabeth (Logan Browning), the new star pupil of her former school, the encounter sends both musicians down a sinister path with shocking consequences.

Overflowing with dizzying horror and sly dark humor, THE PERFECTION is directed by Richard Shepard (THE MATADOR, DOM HEMINGWAY, “Girls”), and written by Eric C. Charmelo, Nicole Snyder and Richard Shepard. The film will be released globally on Netflix Friday, May 24, 2019.
