‘The Red Sea Diving Resort’ Trailer: Chris Evans Saves Refugees in Netflix Movie

Netflix

Netflix has released the trailer for The Red Sea Diving Resort, an upcoming true story drama led by Chris Evans and his Infinity War beard.

The film is based on true life rescue missions that saw a team of international agents and Ethiopians use a deserted retreat to smuggle thousands of refugees from Sudan to Israel in the ’80s. Evans plays the leader and Michael Kenneth Williams is on board as a courageous local. The cast also includes Haley Bennett, Alessandro Nivola, Michiel Huisman, Chris Chalk, Greg Kinnear and Ben Kingsley.

Tyrant creator and Homeland writer-producer Gideon Raff both directs and writes this picture, which could be a rousing drama if it avoids hitting all the cliches these type of films have delivered in the past. The trailer below does okay with ticking off the requisite boxes; let’s hope we get something worthy of such a powerful story.

The Red Sea Diving Resort will be hitting Netflix on July 31.
